The Little Voices

Assalamualaikum & Hi to all...

[teachermuhammad.tumblr.com]

Believe it or not, today's scenario has been alarmingly critical. We are swarmed with bundles of issues like political, environmental, religious, races and much more to the list. The world that we are living is getting sick. Real sick. Whats more interesting than sickening world you ask? Sickening inhabitants I would answer. Funnily, it includes me.

We are the Judge?

or at least that is how we view ourselves. We easily put someone/something that we barely understand into sentence. We punish whoever/whatever that appear to be "different" from the standards which we perceived as "normal". This is where all the chaos start. Right after we set a ruler to scale everyone/everything and when we started pointing out that this person is inferior to another just because he/she doesn't fit in the "normal range scale". That is so absurd! You can't put scale on people and compare them. It is just no fair.

Fishes can't fly & birds can't swim?

This generalization for example is not always true. While fishes are all labelled all swimmers, there is a kind that can actually fly; flying fish. So does the case with birds. Cormorants can actually swims or accurately, diving into the ocean. See? The standards that we created can absolutely be used, but occasionally with few exceptions.

What it seems may not be what it is.

Yes. Don't spontaneously struck the gavel and make judgement. Listen and understand before you judge. Listening has always been the perfect-fit key to understanding. And lets just hope with that listening, you wouldn't be judging people recklessly, but instead judging fair and square.

May ourselves and our society learn the power of tongue and has the mind to speak truth or remains silent.

Deciding To Decide!

Being making the simplest decision to the one that determine the life and death, it has never been easy when "more than one option" is made available. It is and will always be a constant battle between "what the heart wants" and "what the heart needs". Still, some people tend to dwell inside their feeling and make judgement based on what the heart wants rather than what it needs. Once your heart is involved and soaked into this mess- making decision, it would not offer a logic selection of options. Instead of one right answer, the heart would wants the last answer to tick: "all of the above"; Yes. Heart would decide what is/are comforting to them. It does not care the instructions given. "The heart wants what it wants".

Then, who to decide which option to adopt when we are stranded between more than two options? I would say the brain. The mind. You see, our mind is somehow interconnected with our heart. I do not know which bundle of neurons that responsible for this, but one thing for sure; they (the heart and the mind) mind each other's businesses. It may seems like the heart is more prominent and commonly described as dictator of the body, nevertheless it would bow down to brain/mind when the brain/mind decides to rise and does demonstration. Brain/mind is the lost King. When brain/mind decides, the heart will shut up. "The mind chooses what it needs" rather than what it wants.

Making decision whether or not to do something has largely been impacted by the heart and the mind. Sometimes, it is better off without any intervention of the heart. and sometimes it is better if mind is left out of the discussion room. Deciding with heart I would say be very carefree and lead to a relaxing mood of live. You would bungee-jump of the bridge or go rafting along the Grand Canyon when the heart rules. The heart desires the best state of you. It doesn't include health and risk assessment in making decision. Yes it doesn't.

The mind directs more on what the best you can achieve, even if you're not on your best suit. It includes into the list; the benefits that you will have and the limit that you will face if each option is selected. It gives selection of the best answer to the current dilemma. I would say using mind alone is too rigid. One would decide to wake up and study at four a.m. in the morning or climb the Everest when their minds decided.

The intertwine of both heart and mind would offer a great solution. Put an element of "what you want" and "what you need" in every dilemma you're thrown into. Then you get to not only enjoy the decision you make (by the heart), but also achieve the highest and choose best option (with the mind). It's a win-win situation for both your needs and your fondness.

Decide with both to as you're living with both mind and heart. Let them decide in democratic way and may the best be decided! Best of luck people!

Dream High, Superheroes!

When were an innocent child, we used to endure the wildest dreams. We were the witch with just a pencil as our Harry Potter's wand. We were the best Italian pastry Chef with just sands and mud as our baking powders. We were the great Superman with just a polka dot blanket tied to our back, flying across the Milky Way. We owned one big castle made up of bundles of cushions, and we were the millionaires with millions of leaves as exchange money.

We were so little and filled with imaginations. We knew then that nothing could stop us once we had made up our mind. "I am superhero. You're the villain", " I am the cop, you're the bad guy" That is it. No negotiation. When the police said "You will die when I shoot you with this wooden gun", then you knew you're dead once yo're hit. Ouch! That brings back memories, sweet memories.

Then time flies. We have grown so much that we forget we were once a child. A child that used to dream the wildest and biggest dream ever. We let time to suck all our imaginations into a "black hole" which let us not to find it ever again when we reach adulthood.

We are frozen. Forcing ourselves to live within a box. Walls are up against our imagination. We put limit to our mind. Never letting it slip out of the box of mind. If any imagination ever slip out, you would shoot it with an arrow. Let it fall to ground and be dead. You let your imagination be in oblivion.

Come dear all, rise and shine. Be the person you used to be- imaginative. Feed your minds with imaginations. The world has enough robotic people which follow the norms, which live just to study, work, marry, having babies and die. Yes! We have the same cycle of life, but let us made it full with colors and shapes. Let not have a life with black-and-white-only colors, but instead a colorful life.

Now, let us call upon our so-long-abandoned childhood friend again- imagination, and let it be part of us once again. Let your mind grows with the wildest possibilities, now and forever!
